Internet Explorer and Firefox Toolbar Alphas (with integrated Glow Search)

I’ve created two toolbars, one for Internet Explorer and the other for Firefox.  These are for the Consolarium mainly but they also include links to other LTS content. These toolbars link to the Consolarium Blog, LTS Online Service, the Glow Blog, the Glo.li short url service etc. The best thing about the toolbar, as it stands, is that it integrates with the new Glow Search and, just like the Google Search bar, it will keep track of your search history.

These are the early versions of both toolbars. I’m working on twitter and facebook integration as well as automatic URL shortening for the current page being viewed using the Glo.li service.  The next version will tidy up the graphics, add pull down panes for a number of LTS RSS feeds and add a popup sidebar for url shortening.

If this is something that people think is useful then I’ll get a developer certificate and sign the installations for distribution.

This could prove to be a very useful tool. I had not previously realised that GLOW had a URL shortener, which will become invaluable.

Now to see if the restrictive school network will allow me to install it. Im guessing no.
